About the artist

I am a transplant from New Hampshire who has called Orcas Island my home since 1998.

Art has always been a part of my life thanks to the support of my family and teachers. I hold a Master’s in Fine Arts from The George Washington University in DC.

My latest works have evolved from my love of decorative papers.  Using them as my “pallet” I make colorful Dècoupage creations. These original collages have the detail of quilting or mosaic and are lacquered for resilience, producing rich colors and textures.

As a point of interest, my artistic endeavors were interrupted for a few years while I pursued a career in rowing.  In 1992 I was honored to compete for the United States Rowing Team as bow seat in the Women’s Eight (8+) event at the Barcelona, Spain Olympics.

I am still active on the water, but I now enjoy the beauty of sailboat racing in San Juan Islands.
